April is all about poetry – Vol. 1, no. 17

As we continue through this series for the month of April, allowing our words to Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and all that He has accomplished for us through His death on the cross at Calvary, we find even then, that our words just still don’t quite capture all that He did for us.  Even when we put pen to paper, as the ink dries, yet our hearts cry out to the One who can make all things right.  So for this series, here is no. 17 to now be included.

‘Spirit Wind’

Spirit Wind rushes through,

fills my cup, it overflows.

Desire builds to worship

with tongues of men and of angels.

Awed by words that magnify

with praise the wonderful

works of the One True God.

Spirit Wind rushes through,

fills my cup, it overflows.

It fires my soul to return

the love first given.

Peace settles over, fills

to capacity, to every height,

depth, and breadth and width.

Spirit Wind rushes through,

fills my cup, it overflows.

Anchored in a harbor of safety

in this storm tossed world.

The promise of the darkened

mirror removed, to see Christ Jesus

My Lord, as He is,  Face to Face.

Spirit Wind rushes through,

fills my cup, it overflows.
